Why We Started

Salute Veterans Inc. was founded by a veteran who watched too many fellow service members spend years — sometimes decades — struggling to find the benefits, jobs, housing, and support they earned through their service. The resources existed. Veterans just couldn't find them.

Connecting Veterans to the Help They've Earned

"Find the Help You've Earned. Now — Not Twenty Years From Now."

One of the hardest challenges veterans face when leaving the military is finding the right help at the right time. Not years later when the crisis has already hit — but immediately, when it matters most. We build the infrastructure that connects transitioning veterans with the organizations and resources that can actually make a difference — starting with our flagship program, VeteransDirectory.org.

📋
VeteransDirectory.org

VeteransDirectory.org is where veterans find the organizations that serve them — housing assistance, mental health support, legal aid, employment, education, financial help, peer support, and more, organized around the transition journey. Built so veterans can find the help they've earned when they need it, not twenty years later.

Help us keep it current.

If you run a veteran-serving organization, claim your listing and keep it working for the veterans who need you. Update and correct your information, add links directly to your programs, and add the categories and tags that match what you offer — so veterans in need can find your programs more easily and no one reaches an outdated phone number or a closed program.

And if your own website has a resources page, please link to VeteransDirectory.org — so no veteran hits a wall of broken links and dead resources when they're searching for help.

VeteransDiscounts.org — Retailers Who Honor Their Service

Across the country, businesses want to show their appreciation for the men and women who served. VeteransDiscounts.org brings those offers together in one place — a growing directory of military and veteran discounts you can browse by category, from major retailers to local brands.

Whether you're an active-duty service member, a veteran, a military spouse, or a Gold Star family member, you'll find military discounts on everything from apparel and electronics to travel, dining, home goods, and auto care. We also feature a dedicated collection of Veterans Day Deals each November — free meals, special offers, and limited-time discounts from businesses saying thank you.

Every discount is organized to make it simple: find the store, see how to verify your service, and claim the savings the retailer is proud to offer.

Know a veteran discount we're missing, or offer one at your business? Tell us — and help more service members find the brands that honor them.

HireAVeteran.org — The Veterans Job Board, Coming Soon

Launching soon: HireAVeteran.org is a veterans job board built around a simple idea — a win for everyone who takes part.

  • Employers get more than a job posting. They get a marketing team: veteran-serving organizations, influencers, and bloggers promoting their openings through email lists, newsletters, and communities of veterans actively looking for work.
  • Veterans find jobs from companies that specifically want to hire them — not a needle in a haystack, but employers who value their service.
  • Veteran organizations, influencers, and bloggers share in 50% of the job-posting fee — turning every posting they help bring in into mission funding, or into earnings for the creators and advocates who help connect veterans with employers.

Employers reach the right candidates, veterans find employers who want them, and the organizations and advocates serving veterans earn to keep serving. One paid job posting, three ways everyone wins.

Are you an organization, influencer, or blogger interested in helping us promote veteran hiring? Reach out — we're building the launch network now.
